Jocelyn A. Portales is an Associate Attorney at AGC handling a variety of both transactional and public agency (litigation) matters. Ms. Portales advises public agency and municipal clients in areas of drafting ordinances, code enforcement, cannabis regulation, and conflicts of interest.
 
Ms. Portales earned her Juris Doctor from University of La Verne College of Law, where she was on the Deans List. Ms. Portales focused on both litigation and transactional practice areas, participating and observing mediations, earning her a Certificate in Mediation.

While in law school, Ms. Portales served as a law clerk for a Personal Injury law firm and also served as an Equal Justice Fellow for a non-profit law firm focused on representing underserved communities concentrated in Immigration and Family Law. Ms. Portales also earned a Domestic Violence Advocacy certificate from the Jennesee Center to better assist survivors of abuse and worked as a law clerk for a non-profit law firm assisting family law clients.

Ms. Portales earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego. She studied abroad in London Southbank University in London, England. Ms. Portales has also interned for a local politician and lobbied in Sacramento. Ms. Portales also served as the President of a Community Law Project encouraging students to become lawyers.
